The seventh Imperial City Eye Meeting created a focused forum where clinical experience met new advances in ophthalmic diagnosis and surgery.
From July 20 to 22, 2026, Hue Central Hospital hosted the seventh Imperial City Eye Meeting, welcoming ophthalmologists, clinicians and researchers from Vietnam and abroad.
Connecting foundations with clinical practice
This year's theme, “From fundamentals to challenges in surgery”, focused on turning scientific knowledge into appropriate treatment decisions for individual patients.
Scientific sessions covered corneal disease, glaucoma, retinal care and refractive surgery. Complex cases were examined through a multidisciplinary lens so participants could translate the discussion into daily practice.
The meeting's strongest value comes from specialists sharing experience and addressing the challenges clinicians encounter in treatment.
Strengthening professional collaboration
Beyond the scientific sessions, the meeting opened opportunities for training and research partnerships between ophthalmology institutions. It also gave young clinicians access to new methods in an open academic environment.
- Updates on current evidence and treatment techniques.
- Case discussions with experienced specialists.
- Connections for ophthalmology training and research.
The Vietnam Ophthalmology Society continues to support practical scientific exchange that advances the quality of eye care for the community.
